TDS Calculator

Estimate TDS using a supplied deduction rate.

About this tool

This TDS calculator estimates tax deducted at source using the payment amount and a rate that you enter. It does not determine the legally applicable section, threshold, rate, exemption or compliance deadline.

How to use this calculator

  1. Enter the gross payment amount.
  2. Enter the applicable TDS rate after checking the nature of payment and current rules.
  3. Calculate estimated TDS and the amount remaining after deduction.

Formula

TDS estimate = Payment amount × supplied rate ÷ 100; net amount after TDS = Payment amount − TDS estimate

Worked example

For a ₹50,000 payment and an entered 10% rate, estimated TDS is ₹5,000 and the amount after deduction is ₹45,000.
